Are you having fun playing with light and shadows so far this week?  Are you noticing how the contrast between light and shadows impacts you photo?

For this photo, I used two items that are "keepsakes" for me--my dad's wedding ring and a Bible given to me by my grandmother.  I placed the ring in the spine of the bible with the light behind it.  The roundness of the pages creates the heart shadow you see below the ring.  Grab a book and a ring and give this a try today!  You may have to move the light and/or the book to capture the shadow at the right angle.  Keep trying until you get it!
