When people think of Texas, it is often boots, cowboy hats, and horses that come to mind.  You will see those things in many parts of the state, but not so prevalently in Dallas.  I live in a first tier suburb of Dallas in a city of about 37,000 people, and one that calls itself "a city in a park."  We are fortunate to have many beautiful parks.  If you are looking for adventure much beyond a quiet picnic or a run on some safe and beautiful trails, you are in the wrong place...unless you have a vivid imagination.

My grandson was happy to spend an afternoon in the park being a cowboy.  Sometimes hometown adventures are the best!
