As many of you know, I live on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It's a string of barrier islands that stretches over 100 miles long and is surrounded by 900 miles of water. In other words, you really have to zoom in to find me on the map! We have the tallest sand dune on the east coast, a national seashore, a maritime forest, an abundance of wildlife among the salt marshes and so much more! I love that no matter the direction all roads lead to one body of water or another. It's easy to see why I find my hometown so soothing!
