Without this very ancient object, the world would be a sorrier place. Imagine no pyramids, no navigation, no well-fitting clothes, no framing for photos! I thought about this when deciding on my subject. Thanks to my varying interests, I easily found several different rulers in my house and arranged them in a quick flat-lay (everything arranged on the same plane and shot from above.) 

What do you have that you maybe take for granted, but--come to think of it--you couldn’t live without? Do you have several? Try arranging them in a flat-lay to add some artistry if you like.
