I like the idea of how vanquish can mean 'to gain mastery over.' That made me think of time and how no matter what we do, it just never seems like this is a possibility. However, there are things one can do to feel they have vanquished (mastered) time.  For example, this 365 project. Because this project is something I love so much, I MAKE the time to capture a photo a day to help master the art form that I love so much. Each moment you spend behind your camera teaches you something. Show us something you can think of that represents what vanquish means to you today.
