A recent day spent with extended family had me going through old family pictures. It is interesting how the "family" picture has evolved. In the late 1800's and early 1900's it was common to pose with a prized possession-a car, horse, house, piece of furniture. Around the same eras Mother and child portraits were common. Sometime mid-century photo studios posed families and took beautifully posed portraits.
Today, candid life-style portraits are very popular and likely easier to achieve than those posed studio shots.
In my hand is several generations of my family, treasured memories and all were beautifully posed.
What are you going to pose or what poses for you today?
