I was lucky enough to go to the Lake District in England last year, and this was the scene that welcomed me before one of my walks. Now I know this year, I am unlikely to be in such a beautiful valley on this day.
So I looked up the meaning of Valley and there were a couple of choices.
- a low area of land between hills or mountains, typically with a road or a river flowing through it.
- an internal angle formed by the intersecting planes of a roof, or by the slope of a roof and a wall.
So that gives us all a bit more scope. If we don't happen to live in the mountains, use the buildings and road to create a valley.
