National Mutt Day encourages us to embrace, save and celebrate mixed breed dogs twice a year on July 31st and December 2nd.

To make this holiday themed, think about Christmas decor that includes animals. There are Santa's reindeer, the Christmas Mouse, Christmas Teddy Bears, etc. I happen to have an extensive collection of fox-themed Christmas decor. A dear friend gave me this gorgeous plate.

Try adding little details to the image. I used a Christmas tablecloth and some candies. Think about things that can enhance your subject.
