Much of the joy that children exude is fed by their amazing sense of wonder. They are not afraid to ask "what if" and then test their hypothesis. Children expect something exciting and fascinating to come from their experiments. As adults, when we stop to ask the "what if" question it is often in an attempt to thwart some undesired circumstance. Adulthood puts a damper on a true sense of wonder.
