Balance has many meanings: your bank balance, to balance job and home, balance a ball on your fingertip and for us photographers keeping the scene balanced for asthetic purposes.  

I thought these trekkers were showing great balance as they hiked up the sand dune.  Not only is that peak steep down both sides but the sand moves away quickly under your feet.
