There are lots of patterns in this photo.  Each candy cane is patterned.  I placed two face to face to create a heart pattern and then used the heart pattern to create a circle.  

Santa, at the local mall, gives candy canes to the children who visit him.  He does so to show he cares about each and every one of them.  We always found a candy cane in our Christmas stocking when I was a child and receiving one assured me that Santa cared for me too.
