Nothing brightens up the landscape more than the early winter sun.
I hid the sun behind the tree, so just a bit was poking out, otherwise the sun would totally blow out the image. If you want a photo like this then you need to set your camera to manual. A good starting point to get a sun flare is ISO 100 f/11 1/125 sec - but it all depends on your conditions. Try one shot and then adjust the speed accordingly.
