Crisp
Day 74 -
How do I do that?

I photographed these teasel weed pods early in the morning, aiming to capture the texture of their spiny shells. Although I shot handheld and with a wider aperture, I think their spikiness comes through very nicely as crisp.

In photography, sharpness is all about the technical accuracy of focus and detail resolution, while “crispness” describes the visual impression of high contrast and clear edges. Achieving crisp shots comes down to a few essentials:

Depth of Field – Use a narrow aperture (higher f-stop) to keep your subject in focus while softly blurring the background.

Shutter Speed – A fast shutter speed freezes motion and avoids blur, especially in action scenes.

Focus – Fine-tune your focus to make sure the subject is sharp and well-defined.

Lighting – Good lighting boosts clarity and reduces grain.

Camera Stability – Use a tripod or other stabilizing methods to prevent camera shake. Nail these basics, and you’ll capture images that are sharp, clear, and visually striking.

What are you photographing today that may be extra crispy?
