Is it hard if you live in the Northern Hemisphere to find seeds at this time of year? Maybe, but I think it is harder to find sun!
Having the sun in the background, really makes the background light and the seeds pop.
If you can't find the sun or any seeds outside, you might have a few pumpkin or sunflower seeds in your larder to work with.
If you are taking an inside photo, put a piece of paper, in front of a light or a window, and take a photo. Sometimes it is better to over expose to get the object in the front to not be dark.
