Alchemy: the medieval forerunner of chemistry!  How does that apply to kitchens?  The magic of baking is pure science.  The ingredients must be added in specific measurements and in a certain order to produce the best possible outcome.  I myself cannot bake! Why?  Because I am an outrider and I tend to go completely freestyle and the alchemy of baking does not like that one little bit!  I had to recruit my "Bill Nye the Science Guy" to get the recipe precisely right!
