As the wind blows it shows itself in so many ways. You can't actually see the wind but we know it's there. We can see it in the trees as the branches sway. We can see it as the snow flies from side to side. You can even see it in my Canadian flag as it moves from side to side.
If you want to freeze motion as I've done in this flag photo you'll need to use a high shutter speed. I used a shutter speed of 1/1600 for this photo. If you want to blur the motion of the wind, use a lower shutter speed.
