The burst of fireworks zip through the evening sky giving us a show that leaves us breathless.  The casino in Gatineau holds a fireworks competition every year and the shows are amazing.  Every Wednesday and Saturday you can find dozens of photographers all set up on a bridge in downtown Ottawa poised to capture these fireworks competitions.  It's the best vantage point for photos.  This was my first attempt at capturing these fireworks, but it won't be my last.  I was thrilled with the results and I can understand why it's such a draw for so many photographers.  What's even better is the burst of fireworks I captured here contained all sorts of shades of rose.
