Freeze Time Still
Day 159 -

Today let’s have some photo fun playing around with shutter speed settings!
By adjusting it up or down, you can freeze the action - water splashing, a cyclist zooming by, a pet jumping, or birds in flight, etc. - the possibilities really are endless. What will you capture?

Here's a quick guide:

  • 1/250s | ISO 200–400: Freezes slower motion; best in bright daylight
  • 1/500s | ISO 400–800: Freezes everyday movement; good balance of speed and quality
  • 1/1000s | ISO 800–1600: Freezes sports and wildlife; great for outdoor action
  • 1/2000s | ISO 1600–3200: Freezes very fast action (like splashes or fast sports); needs more light

For phones:

Burst Mode: Depending on phone settings - hold the shutter button and swipe to activate Burst Mode. This captures a rapid "burst" of photos then you can choose the sharpest “frozen” moment of the series.
