Birds are super fun to photograph.  It's a great day to practice capturing action with a fast shutter speed.  You'll want a shutter speed of at least 1000 but 2000 would be even better!  You really want to freeze that action. I got a chuckle of this pelican coming in for a landing... I'm pretty sure he underestimated his landing space!
