It is fall apple season so let's feature apples in today's photograph.
Apples are a nice subject to photograph given that they are easy to find, can be stacked and balanced and are generally very well behaved....and you can eat them afterward! To create a still life that really 'shines' try enhancing the skin on your apples by rubbing them with olive oil. To add even more interest, you can also give your apples a little spray from a diffuser to add water droplets. Consider your background; add paper bags, beautiful vases, burlap, velvet or even an apple peeler. By using a low ISO and a narrow aperture, a tripod and a simple light source you should be able to achieve a picture that is the 'apple of your eye'.
