An old town always feels like it’s holding its breath — as if the past is still wandering its streets, brushing against your shoulder when you’re not looking.  Exploring one always gives way to fantasies about the lives of people who lived there 30, 50 or 100 years ago.

This little spot on earth is not a ghost town, it has about 30 full-time residents and some still mine the old claims in the hills around it.

It has history, lore and legends attached, some real, some not-so-real.  On a couple important dates throughout the year the residents increase for celebrations and remembering.
